Still learning that the world is a friendly place
Paul is a young Australian Shepherd mix who is bright, eager and very, very food-motivated. He already knows “sit,” takes treats gently and loves his walks. He was crate-trained by the person who found him, who reported that he wasn't destructive in the crate or loose in the home.
He can be hesitant with unfamiliar people. He needs folks who let him come to them — no reaching over him, no sudden movements, no hugs before he asks for them. With patient handling, treats and a clear routine, he settles, redirects and happily engages with the people around him.
Paul isn't looking for someone to “fix” him overnight. He's looking for someone who'll give him the time and guidance he should have had from the beginning — and help him become the good dog he's already trying to be.
